11th Annual US-Japan HealthTech and Life Sciences
Conferences and Trade Mission

SAVE THE DATE

November 11-15, 2024

If the Japanese market is on your radar screen, or you are looking for partners in Japan for investment or product distribution, please consider joining our 11th Annual US-Japan HealthTech and Life Sciences Conferences and Trade Mission from November 11-15, 2024. The program will feature conference events in Tokyo and Kumamoto. In addition to the two main conference days, we will travel together as a group and are planning additional ancillary events, including hosted dinners, breakfast meetings, and a cultural tour. Prior keynotes include Dr. John Simpson, Andrew Cleeland (Fogarty Institute), Dr. Peter Fitzgerald, Dr. Russ Taylor (inventor on original Intuitive patents), and Dr. Frank Litvack (Conor Medsystems).

The Tokyo event will be an invitation-only symposium for senior executives and is produced with support from the US Embassy in Tokyo and Link-J in Japan and will be held in Nihonbashi. Kumamoto is experiencing a manufacturing boom thanks to a major public-private initiative for the development of the semiconductor industry, including investment by Taiwan Semiconductor, and our program this year in Kumamoto will leverage support from government entities, academia and the private sector in that region.

The events bring together senior level representatives from the private and public sectors and academia in a collaborative forum to discuss key issues shaping the future of the healthtech and life sciences industries in Japan and the US. We will also include a showcase event where up to 20 carefully selected early-stage US-based healthtech and life sciences companies pitch their businesses to an audience of Japanese executives who are seeking opportunities for partnership and/or investment. The events will have world-class simultaneous Japanese/English translation, which allows attendees to speak and listen in Japanese or English seamlessly.

Details from our November 2023 program that was held in Tokyo and Nagoya can be found at https://usjhealthcare.org/. The 2024 program will feature all new content and speakers but follow a similar formula. This event is again hosted by US-Japan Healthcare Connection, a collaboration of its predecessor, USJMF and the Japan Society of Northern California. If you are interested in attending and would like more information, please contact Steve Pollock (steve@usajapan.org), President of the Japan Society of Northern California.
